What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha yoga is a way of balancing and harmonising the Body, Mind and Emotions. The body and mind are in a state of constant interaction and the primary aim of yoga is to restore the mind to clarity and peace. With a regular practice, an awareness develops between the emotional, mental and physical levels in the body – helping to restore balance in both mind and body.

Benefits of Hatha Yoga
One of the main benefits of Hatha yoga, is the practice of breathing, helping to improve oxygenation of the body and reduce stress levels. Asana practices (postures) and Savasana (relaxation) help with relaxation and strengthening the mind and body. Savasana is the first step in the practice of meditation. Good health results from perfect balance between body and mind, leading to a sense of physical and emotional well-being.
Your Teacher: Lauren Stern
My name is Lauren Stern and I am very excited to be teaching yoga classes at the beautiful studio at Underwood Healing.
I have been practicing yoga for 16 years and teaching for 14 years. I have also been teaching Yoga Therapy for 2 years
I teach with empathy, respect and acceptance, welcoming each student as an individual and supporting them on their learning journey. You will find that my style is warm, open and nurturing. My classes are created to cultivate balance in all aspects of your life.
I welcome you with open arms and will guide you to find that quiet, inner space, within your mind and soul.
